The regular orchestra leader on TV’s 1950 classic live show, Your Hit Parade, was one of the show’s star’s husband! Dorothy Collins was married to Raymond Scott, and appeared on Hit Parade every Saturday night with Gisele MacKenzie, Snooky Lanson, Russell Arms and Ray Charles (singers). Raymond is seen in an April 16, 1955 on camera performance with his quintette performing his composition Powerhouse. Not long after Hit Parade left the airwaves, Dorothy and Raymond were divorced amid rumors that Scott let his perfectionism get in the way of the marriage.
